word is that it has been brutally tough out there unless you find that magic 50 yard stretch of bank. there was a working man's tourney out there last night- think there were about 15 boats. not sure on results yet but I bet somebody caught em

Has the jetski and wakeboat spawn happened yet? At Lewisville on Tuesday I counted 6 wake boats and 8 jet skis west of the 35 bridge at 7 pm as I was making my way back toward the ramp. Iād say the idiot spawn is getting ramped up for sure.

The wakeboat season will be strong on the weekends. Forgot how much I hated them. Lake is fishing good if you are really patient, but covering water can lead you in the wrong direction. Just focus on transition fish pre-spawn and post-spawn. The community holes are pounded, and I have been finding gems in those "ain't never caught fish there" spots on the lake. The fish on beds are in 4-5ft and you will not see the big girls unless it's sunny, and light wind. The males are young and dumb circling the spot. That's enough for now. But they're still spawning.
