A friend and I went to Tawakoni Tuesday afternoon, we launched at 2 mile bridge the birds were diving about halfway down the bridge. We fished all around them but we wern't catching anything then we started casting under the bridge in the shade and then it was one after another. They were mostly small sandbass 10" to 12" with one out of 10 being a magnum. We left there and went over to a few points but nothing happening even with the thumper on. Fished over by the dam and caught a few small sandbass about 7:00pm went close to the shore by holiday. We caught a few then they started schooling, birds were diving and it was on till dark. Most of the fish were small hybrids with only 2 being keepers. Fish were caught on crankbaits and plastics, would not touch a topwater, water temperature was 68 degrees.
