Looking at twin dikes ramp, why is there no courtesy dock? I see its surrounded by lots of rocks. Is there plenty of beach arears to pick up partner? I have keel guard and know i can ease up on the ramp but not that easy on busy weekends. Seems like a really nice ramp and parking lot not to have a dock.

I've wondered the same thing. I have used it a few times, but like you said it's during the week and not busy.

Wind, Twin Dikes ramp is directly affected by the north winds. Same as Rayburn Park ramp.

These are the only 2 spots I've beached before. Been fishing Rayburn since early 90's and there's never been a courtesy dock for any length of time. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/04/full-21218-179350-screenshot_20230411_194559_734.png)

Never understood that. Just go down the road a little to the other ramp.
I've beached where Jarrett circled though.

They've actually made an improvement to the east side of the point and it'll block a lot of the north wind off that side ramp. Supposedly they have plans to put a dock there now that there is some protection from the wind, but I'll believe it when I see it. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/04/full-103628-179431-337401200_772084021190752_169233182737785453_n.jpg)
