Every year our county has a Dogwood Festival. Since 1940. Parades, contests, booths, rodeo, trail rides ... for us hicks it's a big deal. Lasts 8 days/2 weekends. read about it if you want.

The above is just some background.
For the last few years the parade was populated by an out of town "off road" club (I doubt they go off road much by their looks but the vehicles are of the type).

Starting last year they chose my county road to "trail ride" on. This is close to 100 machines. Now, my county road is attractive for this I suppose. It connects US 69 and US 190 together by 4 miles of improved county road and 8 miles of unimproved but maintained dirt/sand/gravel/iron ore/rocked road. This is the road chosen by the ATV / UTV club to get "off the pavement" and travel. I counted 89 machines last year while hanging out on my neighbors front porch with Miller.

I'm cool if you want to ride the county road in these machines. I have been warned by LE that it is illegal (while on one of my ATV's) because they are not registered and licensed for public roadways. I had pretty much forgotten about the 2022 "parade" until two Saturdays ago I could hear a low roar of engines and classic thump of ghetto "music". I live 1000' off the county road back "in the woods" but I could hear this noise for 8-10 minutes before it passed my front gate. The thumb was over the top from some of these machines. They were jacked up, neon/LED lighting on some. Kids < 10 years old on ATV's cutting up the road, smell of skunk, continuous revving. Over the top!

Of course me being an old I called the sheriff's dept. 2 deputies were already in route. Next year the road will be blocked by a couple of Kubotas.

As long as they just passed by and kept going, I wouldn`t let it bother you too much. If you complain and draw attention to yourself, you might end up causing yourself more problems than just the noise and skunk smell. It`s only once a year. Doesn`t mean you have to like it though. Live and let live.

Brang it! Of course. 4.5 hours from the MetroMess. Bring you ATV's and UTV's, I got a great place to ride.
