Trying to run up there for a night. I remember seeing a small place just outside of Sanger. What’s your best suggestions with a boat? Thanks

Small motel in Pilot Point or you have Holiday in right off 35 and 455 in Sanger and one other small motel in Sanger. Pilot Point is quieter and probably a little more boat friendly.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Haven't been inside Lonestar Lodge in a long time but they sure are building one GIANT marina. Clearly the easiest place to stay since in inside Jordan Park and 90 seconds from the boat ramp. Just don't launch there is the wind is out of the north. Many a boat have sunk on that ramp.

I got caught there several years ago with a 30 mph north wind, it got ugly, somehow I stabbed my boat on the trailer first try, rode a wave in like a surfer, had I missed the boat would have been in the back of the truck lol. They are building a big marina, I think 400-500 slips with dry storage and a big service center, we are supposed to be pouring all the concrete out there.

Stayed in Lonestar Lodge last June for one night. I would definitely recommend it. Felt secure enough. Easy to park boat out in front of rooms and have electrical hook up. Clean, reasonably priced.

I have seen so many taken down there its crazy yet a lot of guys still launch there knowing the wind is gonna pick up out of the North. I've seen the beginning of that marina and it's truly massive. A whole new fishing structure that I am sure will play a major role somewhere down the road. It will be awesome if they have fuel, food, ice, etc on the docks somewhere

got caught in a huge storm back in the mid 90's there. everyone beached their boat by the ramp and ran for cover. we climbed out of my truck after it blew through and there were 30-40 bass boats sitting there with only the trolling motors sticking out of the water. Rods, tackle and all kinds of stuff floating around in the water. We grabbed a bucket and ice chest and all helped each other bailing water out of our boats until they would float enough to trailer them. my boat was a 1994 Stratos 285 that was less than a month old when it happened. I sold it 7 years later and it was still full of sand.

I freaking HATE the fact that they are allowing another marina! GO BACK TO CALIFORNIA AND NY and everywhere else all these stinking people are coming from! Go away!!! Why do you hate marina's?

Lone Star Marina
Four Horsemen (Kind of a dump, but it's a place to stay near the lake)
I'm starting to think I need to make our guest house an Air BnB. Full kitchen, bedroom, etc. With garage for parking boats, electrical, etc.

We have stayed at the Four Horseman since the 90's, no trouble at all, it's a cheap dive but never had any issues..........other than a baby opossum that walked in the neighbors room like he owned the place one time when we were standing under the awning drinking a beer....

Lone Star Lodge for sure.
$125 a night and you’ll be right there like Chris said.

FYI, Marina has added a break water at the mouth of the Jordan Cove.

FYI, Marina has added a break water at the mouth of the Jordan Cove. Which has decreased the in / out lane. Be careful when the lake lowers in the Summer, if it does. The end of it is on a shallow flat that goes from 8' to 2' really quick.
