$133k? Not all new boat companies survive. I’d be worried I’d get stuck with a hot potato

I don't think they are trying to build a boat for everyone. They are trying to reach a particular niche of a niche market.
Damn nice boat, build quality seemed next level. So like legend couldn’t sell enough to stay in business I can think of at least 5 people that had V20’s with bad transoms.

the boat companies that are gone it is for one reason demand of folks to buy retail boats some of the companies thought that if every third boat was a team boat they could make it. the reason tis is true is because long time builder has popped several champion models everybody is waiting with baited breath til they come out an see the price an they cant sell 50 boats a year. I know how they could sell them, lower the stupid prices. I honestly wish people would just start cancelling orders and standing up atleast a little. My backside hurts just looking at newer boats, vehicles, etc. I dont have enough lube to take that kind of screwing

Boats are hand built extremely labor expensive for a low volume product.

Last I heard WRMG still produces a Pro Craft every few years for some reason... Patent, naming rights or some other reason... I think they had a brand new one for sale at the Springfield BPS a few years ago... Dan

I do get what your saying and there are many factors in what it cost to build a boat but we, the consumer, take it in the backside in the name of maximizing every penny in profit. Yes, that is why you start a business and im not saying its super wrong, although a moral aspect should apply. What im saying is businesses are fighting, analyzing, etc to maximize profit and we just take it when we have much more power to control pricing than they do. All around we have way more power IF we would stick together. That goes for purchasing, employment, the whole 9 yards.

The best way for prices to come down is for people to stop buying new boats at those prices. Plain and simple. I just don't understand spending that much on a hobby. I know there are those that can afford it but I know a ton of folks who cant that still go out and but them. I thought I paid way too much for mine but now feel like I did pretty good. With these prices this last boat I bought will be my last brand new one.

I really do not feel like the boat manufacturers are making any more than what they should in order to stay in business and to make a profit, the engine, trolling motor, electronics companies etc also have to make a profit in order to remain in business. We have no idea what these companies overhead is, how can we sit here and say they are ripping us all off ? If they are making a killing you would see start up companies entering the market and being much cheaper for the same product, not going to happen.

Cracks me up when people say stop buying them and the prices will come down. Some of y’all’s memories are shorter than your wee wee. Look back at the recession 15 years ago. Prices never came down on new boats but plenty of manufacturers went under. When the economy recovered new brands popped up.
