I have had both Mega Live with a Helix 12 and now the Garmin LVS34 with an Echomap 126. Both do the job. The Humminbird has gotten better with every software release. I cannot say I caught more fish with the Garmin, although it has a more detailed display, than I did with the Humminbird. If you want to stay with Humminbird because of the lower cost it will definitely help you catch more fish.

Me too except I can change the fish I’m watching from black and white to whatever color I want!!! Didn’t say I could catch ‘em but but watching them follow my bait and swim back to the brush pile while rolling there eyes is very entertaining!!!
