If his hull looked like that what does his prop look like? You can lose a lot of performance with a slightly nicked and scuffed up prop as well.

I've always heard that but I wanna go Myth Busters on it. I want to run a brand new prop and then a couple of identical props in various stages of "Flat Creek at Palestine" and see how much difference it really makes.

Ok. Just an observation….you kept mentioning the center of gravity and the effects of weight fore and aft. Doesn’t the center of gravity simply move with the weight changes? How does one know WHERE the factory intended the center of gravity (front/rear weight bias).

Sure it moves depending on load and passengers but removing close to 200# from the transom has a lot more effect than weight in the middle of the boat. Think of 2 fat guys on a seesaw and what happens when one jumps off.
