Never had the pleasure of knowing Key but heard only good things and fond memories from those who did. Rest in peace and prayers for his loved ones.

I was his tackle rep for many years for several brands- he always had time for me- no matter what he was doing. A great industry friend; very kind gentleman- not many left like him. I always enjoyed visiting with him & Royce- to talk fishing, tackle etc. They made time..........................always when I walked out the door- him & Royce would say " Let us know what's going on at Toledo & we'll come" RIP Key.

I bought my first new bass boat from Key. A 1973 Basscat.Had a 115 HP tower of power in line Mercury on it. It was the cutting edge of bass boats back then.
Key and his brother rigged it. Remember going to fishing seminars there at night. Seen Tom Mann, Rick Clunn, and others. Key was a stick fishing in Hogs Unlimited. Especially at Toledo. I am thinking he fished with Roy Grammer..He was always at the Dallas Boat show.
Key was a good man he loved talking about fishing.

Key always had time to visit. I had a lot of respect for him. RIP

Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

I remember the Fishing World TV shows on Saturday mornings and all the mounted bass in the store. Great place to shop along with the Tackle Box up the street.
RIP
