I'm still trying to figure out my 2d sonar, DI and side scan. I have had my hit and miss days with my 360. There have been times I have found a good wad of bass in and around some structure by using the 360. Other times I swear I cannot see a fish on it all day long.

Reason is I am terrible reading my graphs.

That's what I am thinking. Someone needs to put on a no ffs tournament and see how many boats it draws. It could be the next big thing.

The same people would fish it and the same group of anglers would finish at the top.

So, it would be just like a tournament 3 years ago and there’d still be a winner? Wow, what a revelation! Maybe go ahead and make it: no graphs, no spotlock TM’s, that will really be so awesome. yawn

Of course, it needs to have a 100% payout for all the contestants, don’t want any losers.

You already have that information, just look to the past before FFS was invented.

How about a tournament where you have one rod and reel, 1 tackle box and you fish from the bank......How about that? Think that would draw a bunch of entries? Lots of youtubbers fishing from the bank.

First two Bass Elite events of 2023 were won using FFS.

Not when the electronics manufacturers are signing long term deals with the professional trails.

Yep, if A-Rig builders had written big enough checks, those contraptions would be getting slung around non-stop on tour. Electronics manufacturers have deeper pockets. FFS is not getting banned.

In fact, I bet within 12 months, there is a separate video feed available to viewers where you can watch the pro's FFS screen in real time. All brought to you by Lowrance/Garmin/Other Game Changer. Might even be a $10 subscription fee to get access to that feed.

Always remember the Golden Rule--those with the gold make the rules.

These threads always get me. To the folks talking about snagging and catching every fish in the lake…..have you ever seen or tried FFS? I can’t tell you how many fish you will see but won’t catch and good luck trying to snag one. Bass, crappie, etc. will follow, ignore and sometimes bite your bait just like the days before FFS. Just because you find them and can see them doesn’t mean you will catch them. It’s not some magic box that makes fish jump in the boat. It does make you a better observer of habitat and fish behavior which is a plus. Bottom line is if you don’t know how to locate fish the FFS is the least of your worries. You can have all the cool toys on the boat and still struggle.

I am a 74 yrs. OLD man. Have been fishing for as long as i can remember. I'm sure i have placed several hundred Tops in lakes for crappie. (no longer do it because lazy people take advantage of someone else work, seems to be the NEW NORM. no secrets any longer). Anyway, i remember when to find my Tops I had to Aline my boat to landmarks on the bank or trees on the lake. No sonar just a man's experience, work and knowledge. We caught a lot of fish. i know people who catch crappie today who before Live Scope couldn't catch one if it bit him on the butt. WE all know those people. Right? Now to the point. I'm not a Fish Biologist. Sometimes common sense and hands on experience is better than book knowledge. Just sayin! i found it interesting that WLF came out shortly after the units appeared. on the scene and assured us, NO PROBLEM. How would they know that quick? Could it be Money, Politics, influence from Lobbyist? I can attest.to this fact, i am not catching the quality fish that i was accustomed to most of my life. Remember, people that never caught fish Pre-Live Scope don't have a history by which to compare. i can understand why certain folks love the Scope. It makes the guides job much easier and ability to book more trips per day. The guy who never caught a fish before now can brag about how great a Crappie Fisherman he is, and the vendors are making a fortune. Great for crappie tournament guys. Not saying these are bad just facts. I agree that crappie are prolific but when the catch improves 10-fold then common sense would tell us it has an effect. No doubt the quality of the fish caught has gone down. to me, quality is the biggest concern. The Live Scope is here to stay and the future will amaze us. Today's units will be obsolete in the near future. WLF should reconsider the limits (per boat) impose slot limits and stop the culling. A few months ago i notice fish floating by me then an another and another. i then noticed that guys in boat next to me was culling fish from an ice chest. Think about that! Before yll beat me up, I once said that i would never buy the "Cheatin Machine", What i learned was never say never. See, I'm one of you, but I'm smart enough to see what the negative effects will be as these FF advance. Will it make much difference in my fishing life? At 74 probably not but it will my boys and grandsons. Apologies for the long diatribe. A positive is that a lot of once BASS FISHERMEN ARE DIE HARD CRAPPIE GUYS. Good to live in country wherein I can express my opinion. I may not be right, but I think I am otherwise i wouldn't express it. flag

I appreciate you dropping all those piles, I have had alot of enjoyment the last year or so finding them and stripping them of limit after limit of crappie. I once could not catch a crappie on a bet. Now I load the boat every time out. Again thanks for the piles and keep up the good work.

Ole Randy’s latest video previewing the grand lake Toyota tournament he is complaining about how crowded the lake is- says it’s gonna be a battle of the bank beaters vs the livescopers and the livescopers are gonna win. Complaining on and on about how boats are on all his spots….😅
