I have had this happen several times near the marina at Bonita Shores, but it was common carp hitting the trolling motor prop every time I hit the button. It must irritate them.

Had this happen on Ray Hubbard in the shallower part of Bayview Marina 8-10 years ago in April, way before FFS.
It was a crazy experience

Bluff Creek on PK was covered in them Friday. Dropped my Livescope in and was like damn there are fish everywhere! Then I looked out and saw what they were. There were bass too but they were outnumbered by the hundreds.

That's kind of alarming to be honest. But interesting as well. Closest thing I have happen is in the bayous around here pods of shad will stay under the mega live and follow me around. Not that helps my fishing buy its kinda neat I guess.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

That school of Buffs may be offspring from one that cross bred with a piranha that had been released into the lake from someone's fish aquarium.

Saw this very same thing at Bridgeport about 3 weeks ago. There were hundreds of them in one area. I just assumed they were spawning or getting ready to. I have to say though it was weird and I have never seen it before.
Wow, that is incredibly early for a carp spawn on Bridgeport.

The carp are very shallow way up the creeks on Bridgeport. There's two of them swimming in Big Creek with a 1/8 oz red jig head and salt & pepper tube in their mouth

I believe, I read somewhere, that it was Global Warming that caused this type of reaction and how Carp responded. Or was it Climate Change? Just not sure anymore.

I had this happen to me the other day, didn’t notice em bumping the trolling motor but it seemed as if they were following me around.
