I have been waiting for some time to pass but now I think I agree with this guy .. https://youtu.be/5CvnzxykiU4I don't think in any way this will be good for the sport or the fisheries in the future. I know this has been hashed out but I couldn't find a live scope thread.

Don’t buy it, simple enough, right?
Good for the sport? Probably not, don’t buy it is about all you can do.
Good for fisheries? Neither are tournaments.

Tournaments are far worse than livescope on our fisheries by a mile.

To be honest I haven't kept a bass that I have caught since I was a kid. So I don't quite share the same opinion. I understand the passion Randy has for an anti-livescope world. However, that's why America is so great. You're allowed to have an opinion, and I have mine. I don't push much other than trying to keep people from becoming the long arm bandit. It's a tool, and it works really well if you know how to use it. The amount of information you get from a spot in the first 20 sec, is more than you will learn spending all day on a spot. To generate a pattern, it rocks. I then turn it off and just fish. But everyone should experience it. It's like using a flashlight in the house when the power is off, that's what your doing with the LiveScope at the lake. Wish it was more affordable, but tech is expensive. If you love to fish you can have it, or not have it and be happy. If you want to make every cast count, you prob need a 360 or LiveScope.

Don't like it don't buy it. Remove your riffle scopes, your bow sights, don't use feeders, game cams, sents, camo or heaters in your box blind. We could argue that, it's not really hunting if you have those advantages, right? You could also play a round of golf with 1 club and a ball. You don't need a bag full of clubs, $50 a doz balls, golf shoes, range finder, or a cart. Guy's have all that and still can't shoot par. Just bc you have any version of live scope doesn't mean your gonna catch um. And when was the last time RB cashed a check, lots of crying but no checks and it's not bc of LS.

He is just a clickbait shock jock. His fishing game dried up so he’s carved out a niche with stuff like this. He was bashing how expensive boats got when he lost his boat deal and he ended up in the little Ranger aluminum. Well before you know it he is in a tricked out skeeter and low and behold he quit that speel.

I watched the video and I don't agree with the notion that FFS doesn't offer any sustainability to the fishing industry. From what I've seen in the younger generation is a decline in outdoor activity because of internet and technology. I raised 3 kids who all had computers and the internet, unlike like my generation who stayed outside most of the time. From my own observation I see a younger generation that enjoys technology, and FFS can actually keep their interest in the fishing sport. More fishermen in the future means more license sales which in turn means more money to keep parks and wildlife operational which is how we further research etc. I think he's a nice guy and entitled to his opinion and perhaps tournaments without livescope will become a thing for those who don't ageee with it. I'll lastly say, livescope may help me and others see the fish, but I can't catch them all, but one thing is for certain, livescope has taught me a lot about fish movement and feeding patterns.

Do you think there should be tournaments that don't allow it? I suppose I would like to use it but don't think I can afford as a non tourney angler. 5-6k for a set up?

I suppose I would like to use it but don't think I can afford as a non tourney angler. 5-6k for a set up? $600 9” Garmin graph or a 10” Garmin for $999 and a lvs 32 for $999 or the better lvs 34 for $1700. So, $1500 is about as cheap as it gets or $2700 for a really nice combo.

Anyone switch from 32 to 34 and think it was worth it?
