I have a Garmin 93sv with Panoptix that I am about ready to smash. The only thing that I use the unit for is for livescope. In December it started acting like it was switching between forward and down on the orientation. Just a constant bounce between the two. Back in December I restarted the graph when it did this and it went away for the remainder of the day. This happened a few times. In January it got to the point that you couldn't use the graph. It was a constant bounce back and forth between the bottom being horizontal to vertical. At that time I tried to calibrate the compass multiple times and it simply would not calibrate. So I set the unit to manual forward and manually adjusted the pitch angle so the bottom was where it is supposed to be. This worked for about a day. Now the unit will only show panoptix out to 20ft no matter what I do. I tried doing a factory reset and that changed nothing. I'm at a loss for how to proceed at this point. I don't know if I have a bad transducer, a bad head unit, or something else. Was wondering if anyone had ever experienced anything like this? Unit is a hair over 2 years old and has worked fine up until this fall. I am going to try doing a software update and try running it on an independent battery this weekend. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Call Garmin customer service at 800-800-1020. In about the same amount of time it took you to post this, they will probably help you solve this issue.

Mine did something similar. Mine is not mounted to trolling mtr and is one separate poll.

The screw holding the transducer to the bracket had loosened. I tightened it and worked perfectly.

I have done that. Emailed them videos and pics of the problem. No solution. Just curious if someone on here has had a similar issue.

I'd check transducer & cables for any damage.
Also use a volt meter to check power at the Garmin connector.

Then try to find another Garmin Echomap or GPSMAP to isolate unit or transducer problem.

PM me if you cannot locate another Garmin unit, I have a GPSMAP 1222 for my Livescope.
I live in Big Sandy.
