Haven't been to Ivie since the BC championship. I'm considering going to give it a try this weekend in the BC tournamnet. How is it navigating the lake? Google earth showing trees out in the middle etc. I'm not wanting to tear my equipment up I see it's fairly low again, like 38% capacity, when it was 50+% capacity during the championship. Can you run the river channel from concho? Any advice is appreciated.

I’ve always stayed in the river channel marked on my graph and been fine. It’s lower than last time I was there too though.

If you had only one day on Ivie(without FFS) would you fish up the Colorado, Horse Creek or elsewhere?
My trip to the Nacogdoches area looks like is being threatened with rain all 3 days I planned to be there and thinking a couple days on Ivie, then to Palestine and Pines before my trip home up North.

Sorry, unfamiliar and have never been there. Google earth lists the long south running water as Horse Creek. Leaving Concho Park headed south.
Looking at weather 12 days out isn’t the best idea but at the same time, my dad won’t fish in the rain and I prefer not to leave him at the hotel while I do, so just thinking about heading to Ivie instead of Nacogdoches before heading north.
Not asking to be put on the fish obviously but with just a day+ there, thought maybe staying off main lake and picking one creek/river would be the best idea.

If it’s me and I was unfamiliar with the lake I’d stay from Boot Hill south to Turkey bend

There are plenty of fish on the main lake. Stick to the river channels and you will be fine.
If I had 10 days to fish on Ivie, I wouldn't run up any of the rivers. I know there are good fish to be had there, but there are too many good areas in close proximity on the main lake.
