Won Angler's Choice with one fish about 15 years ago with the big one took place. Heavy rains and high water set it off.

The February report should have high levels near the 377 bridge. I fished near the 377 bridge today in a location that I usually do very well this time of year and didn’t get a nibble. I didn’t see a lot of new dead fish, but there were shad swimming in circles.

Lake Granbury may be turning the corner with the golden algae issue. Although there are still a lot of dead fish in the lake, all of them appeared to be several days old and I didn’t see any stressed fish today. The fish kill hit most of the species in the lake and killed some really big fish including catfish, largemouth bass, drum, crappie, striper, buffalo, gar, and carp. I was invited to fish with a friend, Chuck, on his boat slip. Chuck is an excellent angler and has not caught any fish in his slip for 3 weeks. However, today we caught several very healthy crappie, white bass, and drum. The water had a green color instead of the dark tea golden algae color of weeks past. Hopefully the worst is over. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175460-1c42ffd8_5b9f_486e_8c71_3cb32bee2840.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175461-a4b0ac8b_2c13_41b9_b2dc_1de175164580.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175462-b81c71ff_3388_47d6_9a96_30548ef03727.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175463-dfda806a_cb7d_49eb_bb89_a958e2050166.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175464-fb82e110_b59a_4345_8ab0_5e605c9fe72e.jpeg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-107020-175465-c6982e61_4f66_4402_9a71_3228cb0f5521.jpeg)
