I fun fish and occasionally tournament fish spending most of my time fishing shallow or main lake points. I have a Helix 12 MSI G3N on my bow that I mostly use for 2D and down imaging. I don't want to invest in Live Imaging or any FFS just yet.
Has anyone found that the Mega 360 is worth it for targeting bass between 0-15 feet of water?

I enjoy fishing offshore and deeper structure, and I really like mine. When I'm fishing shallow (0-8') I rarely use it.

Ive used mine for two months now and only at Ivie. 0-15....I think it depends on the lake. I turned mine off at Ivie because the the amount of structure was overwhelming, and the density of cedar made it unclear at that depth. I did see the bait balls and schools chasing them out deep, but it refreshes too slow to effectively target them. Now I see the value in FFS.

It's really useful in following weedlines and slipping up to brushpiles. I use it more than FFS and you can see bream beds shallow as well as ledges and hard spots.

I have both FFS and the 360. I use the 360 about 40% of the time when Im bass fishing. I like to fish offshore and when I need a quick reference on the structure that's what I use. FFS is good, but I couldn't live without the 360. Love it. It's not a current hog for a battery.

Has anyone compared 360 to LiveScope perspective mode? They might be an option for someone considering one or the other. I have both but haven't tried perspective mode.

I want to get a Perspective mount and check it out first before I add the 360

IMO... with a single AT or LS, I think 360 would be the better choice if a 360 type scan is your primary search tool, ie searching for structure around the boat. However, I think dual AT's might work even better than the 360, despite the lesser coverage (270* vs 360*). Two FFS transducers, either both on Scout/Perspective on two different HU's, or a combo of Forward and S/P on two different HU's, OR Lowrance's new dual view on a single HU, would be an interesting alternative. Even though I am totally in the Lowrance ecosystem, I have considered adding a Mega 360 for the past year or so... Requires a large purchase, as one needs the M360 and a compatible HU of course, typically a 12" at least. So around $4500 iirc (new). Compare that to adding a second AT1 ($1000) or an AT2 ($1700) to my existing system, would add "Live" 360 (270*) and IMO would out-perform Mega 360. But, it's a particular situation. If you have No FFS now, then the cost increases quite a bit, regardless of if you go with AT or Garmin. The overal drawback is that unless you already have the HU's, you would need two screens to view two FFS views, as well as two FFS setups as well. So starting from scratch that's even more costly. Ken Smith did something similar by removing his 360 and adding a second LVS34, discussed in the below vids... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzTmvJHFF98https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzTmvJHFF98

I sold mine with my old boat and didn't purchase a new one on my new boat. I have a 52" TM Shaft and you have to pull it up to go shallow and we do a lot on Fork. The prop will hit and they will not warranty it from this. So, Ieft it off this boat for that reason.

That's my biggest gripe is that the 360 doesn't move with the TM so you can't raise it to fish shallow.

Mark, Did I see a post somewhere maybe on BBC by you about a quick release and vertical adjust M360 mount for an Ultrex? I can't find it and want one or similar.
