Saw a FB feed where Pat Cullen says he's caught over 1,100 double digit bass at night on his buzzbaits.... I don't throw them much, but want to start. So besides his buzzbait, which one would you pick up to throw at night for a double digit?

Lots of variables. Type of cover etc. Also if you are big fish hunting I would use a bigger profile and a bait with heavier wire frame pluses a stout hook.

I prefer to get my buzzbaits from a vendor on here...Joey @ Flatlands Custom Tackle. Joey has made me several custom buzz prior to him exploding from the fame. https://www.flatlandscustomtackle.com/His baits hold up great, get on plane really quick, and can be slow rolled or burned depending on the bite.

I like Nichols buzzbaits, because they have a bait keeper system that keeps your trailer attached and in good condition.

I had to go check my old buzz bait box. Had some awesome days with this in-line buzzbait spoon model in the pads. These haven’t been in the water in at least 30 years, need to clean em up and get them some reps. Says Strike King but don’t know if they are available anymore. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/03/full-77639-174775-5fa7e1ec_96b3_423f_9321_ca5bdad5eaa2.jpeg)

Booyah clacker is my go to. First thing I remove the skirt, then put some petroleum jelly on the hook, mix up 3tbs of white vinegar and 1tbs of table salt in a sealable container top off with water to cover the bait, let it sit 2-3 days remove and let dry. I make it super noisy. I only use black or white baits with matte black or matte silver blades. Skirts again black or black/red and white or white/chartreuse. I will run a trailer hook if working water with out anything I can get hung up in. Also a little trick if you want to work the bait slower put the bait in a vice and flatten out the led head horizontally and use a bug at a trailer it will keep the bait up when running super slow.
Do something different, you will be surprised what happens. 2020 Xpress H20B 115 Yamaha SHO
