The place was packed like sardines at the ramp and on the water. Water temps a lot warmer than I’d expected early… 61. Boats everywhere I wanted to fish so I went exploring new water.

Ended up catching 7 bass and two catfish for the day.. a lot tougher than I thought it would be. Didn’t get a bite fishing anywhere within a hundred yards of another boat.. thank goodness I have a kayak. roflmao

Check out the eyeball on this fish… same coloration and pattern as its scales.. took several pictures of it as I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Anyone ever see that before? Other eye was normal.

Think about this the next time to drive over the 155 bridge.. roflmao

That zombie bass is giving you the evil eye. Parking lot a Lake Lonestar was full of boat trailers too. Two or more fishing clubs had tournaments there on Saturday. It was a dink fest for me. I was throwing a june bug wacky worm all day. Ended up with 5 weighing less than 10lbs.

I tried to get as far away as possible from the boats... it was funny watching them as three or four would come to an area at pretty much the same time... scatter out, then all would crank up after 10 minutes and look for another place to fish... sometimes having to just trade places with the boat that just left ... like musical chairs.. Did you see the results of any of the tournaments? Not sure I would have caught my fish had I rolled up with a trolling motor.

Nice day for sure! I use to fish out of a tube on the lake back in the 90’s when I was a teenager. Sure wish we had lakes like that in North Texas. I’m always afraid to catch one of those dead eyes in a tournament.

Check out my YouTube channel as I fish out of my Native Titan 12.5X in Texas and Oklahoma reservoirs

If you are in the market for a great used boat checkout the selecton of bass, catfish and all around fishing boats and boat trailers for all style of boats at www.facebook.com/smithboatsales

Wow, those are some Hogs. You shouldn't complain about it being a tough day when catching quality fish like that. Next time you might catch 7 dinks roflmao
