I’m going to be there in a week, and am looking for some good places to bank fish. Gonna stay in the State Park, and from what I’ve read there is good fishing there in the coves, but wondered if any of you know of other spots to fish around the lake. Thanks in advance!

I've caught a bunch of white bass and stripers from the bank at the far east end of the park. The water gets deep pretty quick along that rocky bank, and when a south wind is blowing there are usually shad stacked up along there. I throw kastmasters, little george's, rattle traps, etc. for the white bass, and I've caught stripers there on zara spooks and pencil poppers.

I appreciate it! Found a thread that talked about catfishing I think where you are referring to, said it’s between sites 114-115. That looks to be a pretty big cove, I’ll definitely give it a go. Also read to try at the Nolan/Brazos river entrances for spawning. Thanks again!
