While fishing a local creek I caught my first Rio of the year 2023. Fish was caught close to the bank using worms. Hopefully this is a good sign for a very good Rio season ahead. The Rio was released. Getting my first Rio of the year. It just don't get any better!

Thanks Leo. The Rio bite should be good due to the mild winter we are having. Now if we can just get a lot of RAIN! (Triple Raindance).

Thanks Curtis for the reply. I hope the Rio bite will be good this year. I have spotted and caught some nice ones already. There are several places that are holding some good Rios, but if they do not get some good rain soon they are going to go dry. Several of my spots are going to depend on how much rain they get. We need RAIN in South Central Texas.
