Moving from the TX Panhandle to Montgomery, TX. Home is in Walden Community on Lake Conroe. Most of my fishing experience has been with New Mexico and Colorado Trout and Walleye fishing at Lake Meredith in the Panhandle. Any tips on crappie fishing at Lake Conroe would be appreciated. Maybe a guide reference. Thanks!

Welcome to the hood.

I live in Walden. Shoot me a PM when you get settled in & I'll try to steer you in the right direction.

The fishing is starting to get good. If you have a boat, beat the bulkheads looking for beds.

If you don't have a boat, go over to the Yacht Club. Fish the bank from the condo's down to the peninsula. There are so "no fishing signs" but you can generally ignore them until the Walden truck asks you to move down.

Good luck and look forward to hearing from you soon.
