Is that by volume? The water level is getting pretty close, but I understand that the level isn’t linear to the volume. It’s about 9-1/2 feet low.

when I asked last time it was full pool "for a while" to test the dam, blah, blah, blah. from the folks in charge.

that was about 8-9 months ago I think.

fannin sheriff and tpwd are final word on opening I think.

North Texas Municipal Water District owns it and will control if and when it can be used for recreation.

I would bet there are some already "checking it out"

You sure about that? There were adult Share a lunker fish stocked 3 years ago. With the stockings and habitat I don't think it will be that long before you see big ones coming in.

actually they do.

Fannin County, TX — May 12, 2021
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) would like to remind everyone that Bois d’Arc Lake is not yet open for recreation. Completing construction and other conditions such as having a safe level of water must take place before the lake can open for boating, fishing and other recreational activities. Additionally, NTMWD is consulting with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Fannin County Sheriff’s Department to determine the appropriate time. NTMWD will notify the public when Bois d’Arc Lake is ready and safe to open for recreation.
