I'd say hit Athens during that time of the year. Get Tom's chip for Palestine and Vick's chip for Fork if you don't have that one. Each lake for two days and you'll have a great time IMHO.

I'd rather fish 2 lakes for 3 days each than 6 for one day each, and you'll donate a lot of fishing time to driving.

IMHO, you're wasting your time fishing one day on Fork. That lake really can't be figured out in a day or even a couple days usually

We don’t talk about Lone Star.

We don't? I'll talk about it. Wish the steel plant was still running. When it was, water outlet was really good fishing.

I fished Sandlin last March, fun lake, a lot of fish and some nice ones mixed in. You can figure it out in a day, at least that time of year. Clearer water so fish spawn out deeper, allows you to use electronics if you want. But it's not required.

Couple of those lakes, you should have a 4X4 vehicle for the ramps.

I think you would have more fun spending two days at three lakes instead of one day at six.

I'd do Kurth, Nac, and Pinkston.

Those three are the easiest to dial in quickly. Some of the others on your list, you might not get close to figuring out in a couple of days.

cheers

Add Naconiche and skip Gilmer. Good ramp at Naconiche and great facilities... beautiful place, more relaxed atmosphere. Big fish, grass and timber.

The main reason for the number of lakes and driving to the next each day is my dad can only fish 5-6 hours a day with shoulder issues, so with him making breakfast at 5 am each day, that leaves me fishing by myself in the evenings. So I figured we would just get to the next lake.

I think we will narrow it down and force my pops to get out there for some evening fishing too.

I appreciate the advice for sure.
