Couple of questions....
How tall are you and are you sitting flat footed with the seat extension?
And how about some detailed pics of that rudder? They dont seem to be as easy to find online as they once were, so custom looks like the way to go.
And thats a pretty sweet pond boat!

I remember that well. That little rig was a blast but mobility wasnt its strong suit. Ive been planning another pond boat and just found a motorguide bulldog. Thats a transom mount foot control. It will allow me to sit in the middle and not have the rear of the boat in the air while fishing. I saw a picture someone took of me and I had no idea the rear of the boat sat so high when I fished solo. That rudder looks like just what I need to do. Thanks for the pics and description

Here is a picture of the rudder I was using. It was a plastic flag pole mount (from eBay) screwed in the transom with 4 stainless steel screws, spare PVC pipe and scrap thin plywood. The plywood rudder has a layer of fiberglass resin on it to make it waterproof. It also supported the transducer. The flag pole mount had a wing nut that I could loosen to adjust the angle of the rudder to either straight up for transport or down at an angle. If I had to build it again, I would put the transducer on the trolling motor leaving the rudder free of wires. I would use white PVC pipe and paint the rudder white. I would probably still have that little boat if I had been using a trailer to transport it. I was lifting it into the bed of the pickup off a steep boat ramp and my back said "No More." ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/02/full-3242-173196-raider_rudder.jpg)
