Heading their in 2.5 weeks for spring break. I have come across some schooling whites and spots before. Staying at the state park. Big beautiful lake and was hoping some of you could make it a little smaller for me and tell me some general areas to hone in on this time of year.

Take very good care if there continues to be a lot of rain. I was there a couple of weeks ago and there are pine tree logs, stumps, and huge branches floating everywhere north of the SP

Thx notaguide. I know this is not a Texas lake but thought maybe if some of you have fished it with any sort of success, you might be willing to share. I don't mind sharing the success/failure publicly or privately with any...

I'd be happy to help you out but at this time of the year the only thing I could tell is to go upriver as far as you can until you find shoals.

Do you know if deadsticking in deep water for whites or hybrids is productive technique at degray? Thumping them in doable on a clear lake like that

That's how I got them when I was there. I really think the deadstick bite will be over by the time you get there though. Water temp should be near 60 by now.
