Hello everyone. New to the site here. Just bought my 1st boat last year is why I am signing up. To be honest with you I probably don't have much to add to help other people currently. But I hope to in the future.
Bass, crappie and walleye. I am hoping to make a couple.of trips a year to Texoma to fish for stripers. My boat is a 1999 17ft bass tracker with a 40hp 2 stroke. I got it rigged up with the garmin 93sv with a 9in screen and then bought a livescope.
I have found out that even with that stuff it's not as easy as the TV guys make it look. Apparently I suck at fishing. I decided to get into it since finding land to hunt is getting hard and really expensive.

There is lots of water out there, but the fish are usually concentrated in specific areas that change with the seasons, temperature, and daily conditions. Try and talk with some locals where you are fishing to see what is biting and the methods that are working. If you just want to catch something an earthworm, cut bait, or minnow should get you a hook-up.
