I have a 2005 nitro NX750 with a 115 mercury. I was told that the piston 3 is shot and needs rebuilt. My question is would it be worth rebuilding or just sell the boat and find something else. If I sold boat with blown piston what would I expect to get. I would remove all my electronics as I would repurpose them on the next boat. I have an older trolling motor on there now. Seats are cracking at console, carpet is older and eventually would need replaced.

If it’s as you say it is….I’d be happy to not have to pay to have it hauled off and I’m being serious. Older nitros are usually only worth what’s bolted to them. It doesn’t sound like there’s much good bolted to it.
Again. Not being a smart [censored]. I’ve been there.

Not a high demand hull, if it's not rated for at least 150, slim market. And that 2+4 motor doesn't get much respect either.
Tough sale for sure.

If you like the boat, then it would be best to rebuild. If you try to sell the boat as is even with the electronics on it you will be sadly disappointed in what you will get for the boat. As stated, older Nitro's are not worth much even when running. You can have the motor rebuilt a lot cheaper than it will cost you to replace the whole rig. Call Texas Outboard Rebuilders in Tool TX. 903-432-2330.
