Last I heard about the Carters is that they were shrinking in size at a rapid rate as this photo shows. I suspect Jimmah Cahtuh is down to 2' in height now.

God bless him.

At least he lived long enough that his name will never be mentioned as the worst president ever again.

He was cursed with bad timing; There was a recession since 1973 when he took office. Germany and Japan industries had just fully recovered from WW2 devastation increasing foreign competition of manufactured goods. The oil crisis was due to Arabian oil embargo as a counter measure to 1973 US support of Israel in the Yom Kippur War. Presidents Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan are almost unseat-able as the worst. I do have a hard time with his support of boycotting the 1980 Olympics.

I had a hard time with 17% car loans, the abandonment of the military, the Iran (still ongoing) fiasco. However, he was so bad RR was swept in for two terms and for that I am thankful. I also like the way he said nuclear and that Amy was a nuclear expert.

I wasn't a fan of his policies, but respected him as my commander in chief. May the Lord comfort him during his final days. angel2

He sucked as Commander-in-Chief, but, as a person he was and remains a great person.

He failed at almost everything as a politician, but excelled as a great human being. No small feat these days.

I've said elsewhere that he wasn't a very effective president. But he's one of those rare decent human beings who has held public office.

I was 5 when RR was elected, so never had to really endure Jimmy Carter's Presidency...but from what I have seen/read after he left office, he is a very good man that was a HORRIFIC President.

His wife shows to have been 5'5" at her tallest and he was 5'10" at his tallest...I know my mom has shrunk 2 inches after a back surgery and a client that is 80 says they have shrunk 3 inches due to osteoporosis...I'm guessing both of the Carter's have shrunk 2 to 3 inches at least, but the way that picture is done is rather creative and funny.

Jimmy Carter is probably as good a person as there ever has been in politics. Super charitable. Just a stand up guy by all accounts. His passing will be a tremendous loss.

I certainly didn't mean to infer he was a good CINC, I simply meant that I recognized & respected the position.
