I searched for threads on this but came up with nothing.
Anybody out there had problems getting Boat Lanes Pro to upload to their Garmin? I have downloaded the file to 3 different NEW 32gb SD cards but every time I try to install it the upload stops at 27% and the unit shuts down and re boots. I use Mac but even tried downloading on a PC but it does the same thing. My Garmin is a Echomap 126 and it’s new so I don’t have any waypoints or tracks saved so memory space isn’t the issue. I have also made sure to toggle to .gpx files.

What am I missing? Any suggestions or maybe someone out there has had the same issue and hopefully solved it.

I don't think the Lake Fork Boat Lanes Pro is formatted for Garmin, just Lowrance, and Humminbird....but I may be wrong so check with who you purchased it from to be sure it is for Garmin and in that format. There are at least 3 different sources of guidelanes for Lake Fork, Lance Vick's Boatlanes.com which has Lowrance, Humminbird and Garmin options, and lake fork guide lanes, that uploads as waypoints, not routes or tracks for the Garmin. Hope you get it figured out soon.

This is Lance Vick’s card. Lance has been super helpful and tried everything he can think of.

If you know someone that has a Garmin graph you might try it on their graph, since yours is new, may be a bad card reader... I am not that familiar with garmin graphs but helped a friend with his, and the Lance Vick version worked great on his, not sure what model but the routes installed without any issue following the instruction on Lance Vicks site. Good luck...

Apparently this is an issue not new. I have the same issue with a 106sv (new) plenty of memory. Stops at 25% reboots on its own and only shows danger waypoints no trails at all. Tried it mulitiple time no change. Also took 4-5 times insert/eject card just to see card. Followed directions exactly and same issue with same 25% results.

I have had similar issues with lowrance and humminbird, I learnt if I use a smaller SD card I no longer have the issue. I now use 8GB cards.

I just bought his chip and I have the same issue. I am using a 4GB and a 32GB chip.

Tried
4GB class 4
32GB class 10

I am running a 126sv and a 93sv fails on both
Both have latest software v23.10

If you Echomap is like my GPSMAP, then
Editing a Saved Track
1 Select NAV INFO > User Data > Tracks > Saved Tracks.
2 Select a track.
3 Select Review > Edit Track.
4 Select an option:
• Select Name, and enter the new name.
• Select Track Color, and select a color.
• Select Save as Route to save the track as a route.
• Select Save as Boundary to save the track as a boundary.

Or use Homeport.

I figured it out.

Go onto a computer and open the file in notepad (Right click file, open with NotePad).
Once open select "Edit" in the menu bar and select "Find".
Type in "Circle with X" and select "Find Next"
Change the line highlighted line
<sym>Circle with X</sym> to <sym>Navaid, Black</sym>
There is one more entry that needs to be modified.
If you closed the "Find" window reopen and search again.
If it is still open select "Find Next" again
Change the highlighted line again
<sym>Circle with X</sym> to <sym>Navaid, Black</sym>
Once completed, if you run the search again you should get a popup saying "Cannot Find Circle with X"
Finally select "File" and "Save"

I have been in contact with Lori Vick and have sent her over the fix.
Good Luck!!

If you will, please send this issue to Garmin Support. Most unit software normally replace "unknown icons" with a default icon and not abort.
