The weather has been pretty bad for us around here lately. The cold fronts and rain have made it a little tough to stay on the fish. As a
Galveston fishing guide I know we get this kind of weather and just have to work around it. On the good weather days, we have been doing pretty good. We have been catching limits of specks, a few red fish and the occasional flounder, drum or sheepshead. I am fishing with live shrimp under a popping cork and trying to find clean water. The trout are only feeding in the mornings for an hour or two.
The fishing will get more consistent once the weather and water warms up. The fish will start to show up more in lower Galveston, West and East Bay. Galveston Island will start to get real busy with visitors and vacationers. All of March and especially spring break is traditionally a very busy time for me. When the weather cooperates it can be some of the overall fishing of the year. It's a great time to go fishing and book a
Galveston fishing charter.com. Well until next time, see you on the water.
