I have not known anyone that has even used the stuff. However, I have a niece that is a heroine addict and has been using for years. I also had a girlfriend right after high school that was a nurse and liked to shoot up before we hit the sack. I ditched her pretty quick. It weirded me out. roflmao she actually was on a first name basis with most of the pawn shops back in those days.

I just never got the allure of those kinds of drugs. Pot stinks too bad. I have done aderall for years once, dabbled in coke….but I just had it in my head that those were “higher class” drugs. Kinda stupid. I’m sure I've shortened my lifespan from those choices.

I wish some drugs never existed.

Wow. Those are some sad/powerful posts.

Welcome to a world without God. We, just like Sodom and Gomorrah, chose our path to destruction. We chose to sacrifice our children, our marriages, even our lives, for a momentary “high/escape in/from life. The wages of sin….death.

Welcome to the “REAPING.”

Jeremiah 7:28 KJV

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Galatians 4 : 16

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

I was visiting with a Lt. at the police dept last week and he said the jurisdiction has had 13 known fentanyl ODs so far this year that either resulted in death or ambulance ride to the hospital. Seems pretty high for a town with a pop of ~80K. Lt. said a very large proportion of the dept's resources are being used to combat this issue.

If I have, I wouldn't know. Anything harder than weed or alcohol, and I'll cut you out of my life. Junkies and thieves are one in the same. No time for that BS in my world.

Both of my adult kids know someone. Just freaking tragic, that we have allowed this to continue in our country and China/Mexico are to blame.

As much as it pains me to say this...we are waiting on a call from the CA hospital / police departments for Liberty's son. He's gotten way too deep into alcohol and drugs. He's homeless and has chosen this life. We have provided many times to get him help then welcome him back home. Unfortunately he continues to say he enjoys living the way he does and prefers to be on the streets. This is a tough time for her as she battles whether she is a good mom for allowing it happen.

All you can do is raise them the best that you can. After they're adults, any decisions they make is on them and nobody else.

My cousin's daughter...19 year old with a 8 month old baby. Had no previous history with drugs, night before they were all to get up and leave for a road trip/family vacation...Hillary did not wake up. UGH so painful. Many of the stories around this vary as some have been challenged with pain, emotional distress or even simply sleeplessness...try this one time and then they are done living frown.

Just had a conversation with a great friend ... this is truly everywhere and so so dangerous.

Yep I was a head back in the day...smoked, drank, snorted whatever ... but seriously when we took pills back in the day (not proud...but not too proud to speak the truth either) ..they were scripts...real drugs...these are anything but a prescription drugs in most cases coming from Mexico (China). It was interesting listening to the news this am, when do you have that talk about drugs now? 10 years old...ugh what a world we live in man.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Look up Kensington avenue in Philadelphia on youtube. It's downright spooky. People will walk that street and film and it looks like it's filled with zombies. It's bizarre to me we allow this to happen. There should be a three-strike policy, and then you get deported. Passport and citizenship revoked. Europe will take just about anyone. I'm not sure what solution would help other than a Spartan one.

Just lost one over the weekend. Army friend I deployed with. We lost contact over the years, but he always struggled with substance abuse. Sad to say but it was just a matter of time.

It is expensive to create a formulation and an administration method that is *safe......and the American pharmaceutical industry has one of the most well funded, strongest, most powerful lobbies in D.C.

*some have been known to alter/tamper with the packaging, delivery method, and prescribed number to apply and frequency interval. This is very dangerous.

Heroin, yes....a few unfortunately...why someone would take it in the first place knowing what we know is crazy to me. Fentanyl...not yet thankfully. Most of the hard drug users that I knew had already died before the fentanyl epidemic.
