Just installed an Ultrex TM.
Looking to upgrade front fish finder.
The Ultrex has a built in Universal Sonar 2,
I would like side and down imaging.
Don’t want to break the bank. I’d be interested in used units as well.
Tell me what I need to know!
Thanks

You can attach a Side Imaging transducer to the bottom of the motor. This is a Humminbird SI+ transducer on an Ultrex US2.

A current model Humminbird Helix Side Imaging model in the 8", 9", 10", 12", and 15" comes with that transducer.

I use a Garmin 1042XSV on the front with the transducer mounted on the troll motor similar to WayneP above, then Livescope transducer on a pole. Can use 2D, side imaging or down imaging along with Livescope at the same time. Oh, and mapping too. I dont use the transducer on the Ultrex.

You can buy an adapter for $30 or used to be $30 that would link to other graphs for 2D sonar. I had mine hooked to my HDS 9 for a little bit. I had a separate transducer on the foot for DI. Then I got 360 and never used 2D. Then I got Livescope and I sold fhe 360 and haven’t used the HDS unit for anything but mapping since then.

Thanks. I'm in the same boat. (Pun intended)

I can't speak for all graph types but the Garmin 93SV UHD comes with all of the hardware to put the transducer on the TM. I know at least the Lowrance requires purchase of a separate bracket on mount on the ultrex.
