If you're lucky enough to find a finch nasty you could soon use your jackhammer

My go to is the Jackhammer, have caught some on a Talon bladed jig. Is the Finch bait company still in business?

I've never used or seen one of the Finch Nasty's but I have a huge amount of confidence in the Jackhammer. It is a big fish catcher

Finch nasty closed down for a few months while they moved locations. It looks like they’re back open and shipping baits again.

I switch all the time.

Either I catch fish on everyone I throw or I don’t catch them on a chatter bait at all.

I won 6 club tourneys (with 2 diff clubs) including both Top 10s last year on a chatterbait. I believe every fish but 3 or 4 were caught on a chatter bait.

Some were caught on a jackhammer, some on a $6 original, and some were caught on vibrating jigs we bought from LFT years ago.

My best 2 days were on Lake Leon with a white $6 original.

I’m the kind of person that will be hammering good fish and will change lure just to see if they will eat something else. Have yet to see one perform and another not.

Finch nasty is my favorite. Different thump than jackhammer. Best thrown on a slow gear ratio. It almost will sit still and thump. It has a perfect speed. Jackhammer has more of a tighter rat-l-trap vibe to me.

When the finch nasty first came out it was a really good bait. However, the last ones that I purchased directly from his website were not good. You had to jerk them like a trap hung in grass to get them to start vibrating, and you had to basically do it constantly. At no point would they vibrate from just reeling them. I think I ordered 8 or 9 baits and they were all like that. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I have not tried them again since then. I agree that they have a completely different thump than any of the other vibrating jigs out there.

I hate paying the price for the jackhammer, but I always do. That bait rattles with the slightest turn of the reel handle or twitch of the rod. To me that is where that bait excels. You can super slow roll it or burn it for a reaction bite and it consistently rattles. Wish there was a cheaper option that performed as well, but I have not found it if there is.
