OP Bites and Strikes Outdoorsman B Joined: May 2022 Posts: 235	I'm looking to get a new spinning reel, and stay around or under the $100 mark. I was looking at the Diawa BG or the Penn Battle. I just recently got back into bass fishing so I would love to know what some of you prefer. Bass Buster1 Extreme Angler B Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 2,841 Mountain Springs/Ray Roberts	I have fished with the various versions of the Shimano Sedona for more than 20 years and can say that they are very good reels with good drags. 2500 size is about right for finesse fishing, 4000 size if you are going to use it for heavier applications. I have a stradic which is more expensive but can't tell much difference in performance or weight compared to the Sedona. See you on the lake and have a great day!

The have the Quick fire one hand casting feature and it has a dual knob handle. Very smooth reel for the price and some I’ve had for over 20 years. I fish a lot. So they last. My .02
