Actually TP&W now has funds to purchase the entire property due to a realignment of Pittman-Robertson funds. But it is under contract and that developer is not interested in letting the property go. In my opinion, the Houston area has squat for bass fishing. Lake Houston is worthless. Lake Conroe is a nightmare. Lake Livingston is a mudhole. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area has 5 times the lakes we do and twice the acreage. And now they are creating Bois D'arc and Ralph Hall lakes, which are both NE of Dallas.
