Does anyone use a blue tooth boom box connected to their phone to thump
instead of the mechanical thumpers? maybe put in a back compartment.
Academy had some since water proof ones to set up this way?
I use a trolling motor with splasher prop but not the best for dead sticking.
Its does work though.

Hey gofish. Yes you can do a blue tooth thumper and it will work. I used one for awhile but I have found that mechanical thumper works better.

Go down about halfway down on the link below, it's from a thread from 2021.. I have some instructions for an app to use on Android.

From the research I’ve done it seems that the recorded sound vibrations don’t travel as far through the water as the mechanical thumper sound vibrations. It also doesn’t mimic the actual sounds that stripers hybrid stripers and sandbass make when they swallow bait. That’s the key reason my mechanical thumpers work so well. I’ve read where some folks have tried it with some success though. Good luck!

I use 2 different mechanical thumpers. 1 for offshore/onshore and the other lakes and rivers. I would never leave home without a thumper. I use it all year round and not just for Hybrids/White Bass....it attracts all fish from my experience. Makes slow trip great and great days epic.

BTW, I've seen the sound system thumper work but the sound system in the boat had 1000 WATT worth of AMPs...it made waves!
