We ventured out on a WINDY DAY to a local DFW lake and found some SLABS! My son joined the 2pound club with a PB 2.3lb 15” Slab. We caught 5 slabs that were at least 1.4lbs and 13”! All the fish were caught in 12-20 FOW, on brush and Laydowns.. Equipment used Mako 1801 Bay Boat, Minn Kota Terrova Troller, Garmin 93SV & 106sv w/ Livescope. ACC Crappie Stix, Denali Pryme, Jenko and Bone Head rods, Bass Pro Micro Elite spin cast reels with 10lb Mad Braided line, various @Docksidecustom Baits colored plastic/hand tied jigs. A 2.3 lb crappie from a local lake around the DFW area is a donkey for sure. That's like 3 lbs from Fork.
