I was wondering if there is any place around lake texoma where everybody goes to catch white bass during the spring run? I have been fishing the Nolan River above Lake Whitney during the run the past 16 years, but I just moved close to Lake Texoma. Any info you can give me about the run above Texoma would be greatley appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure there is much of one, although I have caught a few up the creek in Hagerman. As low as the lake is right now, really gonna be tough, unless we start getting more rain.

You should try Fobb Bottom in mid to early April. In the past I have trolled along the sand bank there and done quite well. Scores of Okies were lined up fishing from the bank. There were Crappie in the shallow areas spawning and large numbers of sand bass just as the depth hit 20 feet, along with a few stripers. Everyone was catching fish the day I was there.

Here's a pic of the final catch. almost a limit of sandies along with some crappie and stripers.

Best of luck to you. Can't go wrong giving it a try at Texoma.

A foot low and 96% full doesn’t seem too awfully bad unless I’m missing something. And I’m gonna guess it’ll come up pretty close to full pool after the runoff is finished.

In late December COE changed the full pool level from 617.66 to 615 something. No idea why but 617 had been the mark for several years

For a long time 617.25 was lake level…then Seasonal pool started…grrr but NOTHING we can do about it. Been guiding for 29 years and looked many many places…I have found a run from time to time but nothing consistent
