I need to find a short block rebuilder for my 1993 175 Merc. I rebuilt it 8 years ago, but another piston decided to bite the dust. This time I want to have a professional rebuilder do the job. I can pull the short block and deliver it. The problem is I live in Austin Texas. It would be nice to find someone local, but I have no problem drive up to the Dallas area if that is required. The other option is to rebuild it again myself.
I appreciate any and all recommendations.

There’s some real pirates advertising cheap rebuilds. Don’t fall for it.
Two thieves I’ve had personal history with is Blackbird in Pennsylvania and captain Mac in Austin.

Customer brought in a V6 Merc that was "professionally rebuilt" by capt mac It was a pig at best. Tech did a compression test, two cylinders were virtually zero. pull the heads, those two pistons had no rings. Not missing a ring, there were NO rings on them.

Thanks everyone! I had personal history with Captain Mac about 30 years ago. Fool me once, never again!
I previously saw Texas Outboard Rebuilders online and glad to hear they are good.
Thank you Michael Heiman

Just about everyone around DFW has known Key Puckett for decades..the tackle shop and boat shop..He has moved to Florida and turned over the shop to his brother Lee Puckett..if you know Lee, he's as good as anyone can be for engine work and rigging boats..if you're needing anything like that give him a call. If you're willing to drive to Dallas, Lee will take good care of you and get it done right.

Thank you for your recommendations. Much appreciated!!!! I reached out to East Texas Outboard Rebuild. I was impressed with their knowledge and looks like I will be using them since they are closer to Austin. Looks like a metal reed broke off and screwed up one cylinder. A complete long block rebuild this time with carbon fiber reeds is what I'm going with at the point. In addition, I can drop the wife off in Waco at that Magnolia thingy on the way and let her spend money while I'm spending money on my engine. She can shop until she is worn out and I don't have to tag along the entire time. That's a win-win in my book. Magnolia Happy wife, happy life! Again, thank you for your recommendations.
