I built an 8' 3" rod with a rain shadow blank for crappie fishing and it's a great rod. Those blanks are very sensitive.
Might post this in the general crappie section. I believe fishinaholic knows a custom rod builder. May be others.

wtex, Robert Briscoe, does excellent work. I've seen some of his rods and he uses Rain Shadow blanks among other blanks.
