Probably 5 or 6 years ago I remember a guy was using those, think they where like 5"?, to catch speckled trout on the Port A. Jetties he had it rigged up weedless, and bouncing it the edge of the granite rocks...Outfished me, using live shrimp

Wood Strike King Spence Scout. I found a few of the later plastic ones but they are not as good as the wood ones....

I always thought the plastic was too hard and prevented a good hookup ratio at times.
They are firm. Especially compared to a lure like a scum frog. An under rated bait IMO.
However in my experience the fish hate the Transporter frog and swallow it deeply. Especially if you wait until you feel the fish and don't swing on the violent strike they always make at the Transporter.

Especially with the plain white with golden Colorado blade. And the mini version was even better.
That pearl/golden skirt was hot I'm out. and can't find any nowhere. I would buy the 3 pack of skirts and put them on assortment of spinnerbaits. Caught fish on them all over the state of Texas. So your right fellows. Or a Bulldog 3/4 oz. spinnerbait. When Richland Chambers first opened those fish would try and rip that bulldog out of your hands.
