I thought same thing til he brought it to my office and showed me. The braid thing just didn’t dawn on me til it was mentioned above. I brought it home tonight and respooled with about 30 yards of mono backing and it works like a champ now. Thanks for the help guys.

We are just messin with ya. Everyone has done it before. I crushed a spool one time trying to run straight braid on a flipping setup. Deformed the spool so bad that it wouldnt turn or slide out from inside the reel.

Oh I know, been on here long enough to know you better be able to handle a little razzing from time to time if you’re going to last.

And I’ve done my fair share of fuking up equipment as well!!!! Lol
