There are three major brands of punch bait worth mentioning. Danny kings, Sure Shot, and Big Marv's. They are all good and you will have diffrerent people debate the pros and cons of each. try them all, they will all catch cats. i use Dk's blood and am very happy with it. It is also the only one of the three I have tried. Fish what you are confedent in.

#4 treble for the danny kings. Make sure you get a paint stir stick to push your hook down into it, you damn sure dont want that stuff on your hands. Takes week for it to come off.

DK sells some punch paddles which are just a 12" X 1" flat aluminum
about 3/16" thick. Slight v Notch in one end. The gallon bait buckets are the easiest to use. You punch the hook to the bottom of the bucket with the paddle, extract the paddle and kinda compact the bait back into the hole you just punched in it, extract the hook at an angle. Sounds harder than it is, takes just a second to do.

By the it sounds what you asking is "what is punch bait?" not who makes it.
if I am right this should help.
1. Dip bait is thinner and need some thing on the hook to hold it on.
2. Punch bait it thicker and most of the time you can use a bare hook with nothing on it.
3. Tube bait is the thinest of the baits and you need a tube to keep the bait on the hook.
Hope this helps the kind depends on how thick or thin it is.

I know that DK calls for a #4 treble but I have better luck with smaller hooks like an 8 or even 10.

hey man i work at academy.. we also sell BILLS punch bait.... danny kings is really good dont get me wrong but i just cant get over how well bills works for me... you will need a tube hook or spounge hook for it though...
