This spot is always holding carps and catfish. Even on tough days I'll catch something. I think the area where the concrete ends causes a deeper hole and I know that right around the corner it gets really shallow, like 2' deep. I think that causes them to stack up right in the little stretch.

Very NICE FISH Bites and Strikes. carp, catfish and buff ,,,, all quality fish. A proper length hair rig I think would prevent what happened to the buff and give catch and release an option but I still consider myself a noob. Maybe Austin who is more experienced than I could help, I love your enthusiasm for the sport!

That spring coil may be very light weight and maybe a shorter hairig would be needed compared to an inline leaded method feeder. That light coil may be turning and get sucked up right to the fishes mouth.

Unfortunately that buffalo didn't make it, but I do use buffalo for catfish and alligator gar bait so he didn't go to waste. He was hooked a little deeper than I would have liked but actually damaged his gills when he started flailing around when I was removing the hook. Austin actually advised me to use a shorter length hair rig and a more stiff line. Basically the buffalo will try and eject unwanted food through their gills rather than back out their mouths like a carp would

Your videos are really good and great to see how you go about catching those fish.
