CT,
You da man!!! That one is a toad for sure, but heck they all sounded good fish. Man we have had wind out of the west today 40mph and much bigger gust, I have my eye on Friday, if nothing shows up that I have to act responsible and commit to it instead lol...

Love it Tim! Best advice ever.....just go fish! I had to change my own paradigm about getting skunked. Now, every time I get skunked, I learn something. So, pretty much, whether I catch fish or not, it was worth it!
Way to get on those fish! I feel you on the tangle ups and mess. It's funny, it seems that the mid-range sized fish do the most damage on my equipment. 10-20 pound fish always seem to wreck my setup the most. Maybe those 40 pounders are lazier, I don't know. Great job though, really nice afternoon outing!

Great post and congrats on another great day. That should be motivation to everyone...
How do you like the changes you made with rod holders, etc. Tim?

Ken Ken, I really like the new location. One issue was the incerts I used to mount them don't hold when you use them for leverage to take the kingpin anchors out of the mud. BCB and I almost got stuck when I couldn't pull 'em up. A little more grunting and I got them but I pulled 2 incerts out of the plywood deck. So, I pulled the port side of the deck and through bolted them. Also had to remount my head light and the rod holder for the landing net. That last thing is a game changer. The landing net is at the ready and hanging off the side of the boat so it doesn't get tangled. Only problem I had yesterday was having a pig laying in it when I needed it again!

Tim...

Such a rough life my friend... LOL
Sounds like the inserts were a learning - I was a little worried how they would do with wear. Metal they bite well, but in wood I have not had as much luck over time.
Praying for rain! Few more weeks of duck season, before I go completely insane with this low lake condition...
