Too early. Give it a couple of months.

I haven’t been out there, but I do know the run starts really early out east. Remember at times catching them every cast while busting ice off my rod guides.

Used to go out a few times each year, but that was at least 20 years ago. A buddy wants to make a trip, but I couldn't remember when the sandies started their run up the river. I was thinking it was more towards the middle to end of February, so thanks for the response.
