It might be good. Bacon can make a lot of pretty mediocre stuff edible. BACON!

not in chili... now baked beans in brown sugar with bacon chopped up and tossed in, that is some good eat'n !... sometimes throw in some chopped up hot dogs in them baked beans - "beans-n-weenies"... its a real treat... but in chili, thats just plain wrong...

I have no idea what you are creating but good baked beans has absolutely ZERO sugar of any kind other than what is provided with the other ingredients, that is minuscule. Sugar and beans sounds like something they would eat up in baawston.

Put the chili in the smoker and smoke it for a while, stirring every 30 min to incorporate the smoke until you get the desired smokiness.

Bacon can't be any worse than whatever it is they put in Cincinnati chili. One scoop of that slop, and most of ya'll wouldn't even mind beans
