What is everyone's favorite bait and/or technique to cover water in winter? Trying to find where the fish are but seems in winter you have to move slow which makes it hard to cover water.

warmer days like now, 8-12' crank in shad, carolina rig, 1/2 oz. spinner on a 5:1 winch/ex hvy 7' 3" TFO. colder days, red craw rattle trap, big A in red craw or slow fish super flukes and deep chatterbaits. someday it will work!

Weightless rigged fluke with a treble.
With it being nothing but plastic and a hook. You have to take your time. I've pulled fish out the water after it was raked with a crankbait from a boat.

I’m thinking about getting the setup that’s on this months TFF cover photo. But with the luck I have probably still wouldn’t find them.

6'6" Med graphite, 10lb mono, 3/16oz ball head, Zoom Fat Albert - pearl pepper or green pumpkin or chartreuse... drag it, swim it steady... if one is around it'll bite it... followed by a spoon...
