I have a Minn Kota ulterra self deploy riptide and I’m wanting to get that pole business that I have for my live scope off my deck. I’m seeing lots of motorized live sweeps for trolling motor options out there for most all of the trollers but not the Ulterra am I missing something that’s out there. Any advice would be appreciated.

What you are missing is the motor type you chose is not suitable for adding any accessories to it especially the weight of a motorized FFS pole.

DO NOT put any of the after market on the ulterra! I learned the hard way. I tried 2 different versions and the motor isn't strong enough for the added weight. I have had to replace two trim modules because of it. I hope to change to an ultrex but for now am making a pole to use.

It is an expensive mistake.

Thanks for the info. There has to be some other idea out there to get the pole ducer off my floor and the hassle of setting the pole up etc at each stop.

I’ve tried the troller motor set up but had a hard time staying on target 🎯 as I assume SK ‘s is mounted on the troller. I may have to live with it because the pole business on the deck last season was a pain.

With the troll mtr setup Try your best to stay in the calm, spot lock & you should be ok or face into the wind . I think that`s the best way to use it. But hey what do I know? noidea
