You ever try Baking soda and Super glue together? Research this and try it out. thumb

Yes I have done it, and yes it works. I had a cracked finger nail a while back that would not heal. It was a vertical crack that ran from the tip of my nail about 3/4 of the way back to my finger. As the nail grew the crack just stayed there, and every time I hit it it would split a little bit further down towards my finger.

I did the superglue with baking soda trick on it. It looked a little funky, but it forced my fingernail to grow out evenly, and after a few weeks it finally grew out past the point of the crack.
